This unit specifies the outcomes required for the operation of a powered industrial truck equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other attachment, for licensing purposes.

(LLN - Language, Literacy and Numeracy requirements)

Good English skills are required to be able to take verbal instructions safely during the practical exercises, to understand the training content and to sit written assessments during this course. All maths calculations must be performed by the learner in written english, without any assistance (calculator allowed).

COMPULSORY PRE COURSE ONLINE LEARNING PROGRAM - to be completed before attending Day 1 of course.

UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER NUMBER (USI) must be provided on booking for all RTO course training. Find my USI  

ADDITIONAL FEES: Student will be required to pay the Worksafe Application fee when completing their online application.  

ASSESSMENT:  There will be 3 components to the assessment for the course.    

  •  Written assessment UOC – must achieve 100% 
  •  Written Assessment Worksafe – must achieve 95% or above on all questions.  Calculations questions you must achieve 100%. 
  •  Practical Assessment – Worksafe - You must show competence in all tasks and activities. If you do not, you will be assessed as ‘not yet competent.   

 When above is completed successfully, you will have completed the UOC and obtain a temporary Forklift licence (valid for 60 days only)

APPLICATION FOR HRWL LICENCE - SUBMISSION OF YOUR COURSE DOCUMENTS 

It is the students responsibility to make an online application to apply for their HRWL licence once they have passed the course and received all relevant documentation - instructions will be provided by BADT upon successful completion of course.

High Risk Work Licence will be issued once Worksafe application has been submitted and finalised by student.

 Your application should be lodged within 60 days of the date on your notice of satisfactory assessment.

 If you do not apply within 60 days you will have to resit the course again.   The written and practical assessments will occur in the training area.
